It should be the best time of half-vampire Cat Crawfield’s life. With her undead lover Bones at her side, she’s successfully protected mortals from the rogue undead. But though Cat’s worn disguise after disguise to keep her true identity a secret from the brazen bloodsuckers, her cover’s finally been blown, placing her in terrible danger.

As if that wasn’t enough, a woman from Bones’s past is determined to bury him once and for all. Caught in the crosshairs of a vengeful vamp, yet determined to help Bones stop a lethal magic from being unleashed, Cat’s about to learn the true meaning of bad blood. And the tricks she’s learned as a special agent won’t help her. She will need to fully embrace her vampire instincts in order to save herself — and Bones — from a fate worse than the grave.

My impression:
In this third instalment of the book I was absolutely caught by the story. Everything was even more scarier than the first 2 books, but it makes it even more interesting. As it is later story, I like how the more we read, the bigger becomes the danger.

As already familiar with the writing style of the author, I read this one even faster than the others.
It was interesting how Mrs. Frost involved historical persons from the early world history – like Patra – and for me was very catching mind to read more about Mencheres. I want to read more about him in future books, it would be interesting.

Other thing again… too much sex scenes. Not that it ruins the story, but they’re starting to do it even in the most ridiculous moments, like in the truck. However, I know that bestselling is equal with the word sex, so I won’t complain about it anymore. Other thing is that it’s my choice to read or not.

All in all, this book is recommended for the people, who started to read this series and wonder should they have to continue or not.

You can run from the grave, but you can’t hide…

Half-vampire Cat Crawfield is now Special Agent Cat Crawfield, working for the government to rid the world of the rogue undead. She’s still using everything Bones, her sexy and dangerous ex, taught her, but when Cat is targeted for assassination, the only man who can help her is the vampire she left behind.

Being around Bones awakens all her emotions, from the adrenaline rush of slaying vamps side by side to the reckless passion that consumed them. But a price on her head — wanted: dead or half-alive — means her survival depends on teaming up with Bones. And no matter how hard Cat tries to keep things professional between them, she’ll find that desire lasts forever… and Bones won’t let her get away again. Original.

My impression:
This is the second book from Night Huntress series and I can say it is totally awesome. I don’t wrote much about the story line when I wrote abut the previous book, mostly because of spoilers, but however I would like to share my true opinion now. I love Bones – crazy, manly vampire and as much as I love him – I love Cat too. This is probably one of the greatest pair. I like when the main characters truly deserve themselves. He has power – she has power; he kills bad vampires – she kills them too!

In this sequel the story is even more interesting. After Cat left Bones in the end of the first book, now they are together again. And the story gets even more complicated when we add more Ian and more vampires in the equation.

This book is filled with even more blood, more sex, more fight…. and more blood again! It won’t let you just stop and go do something else. It will make you read till the end of the last page. And do you know what’s the best? Coming of the next book.

General note: 10/10!

My impression:
I had started to read this book, in English, some years ago. I had it downloaded and ready for me, but I just read some pages from it. Now it’s perfectly published in Bulgarian from one our publisher and when I saw the book in the library, I decided to give it a chance again.

The book is easy type. It’s written in a way, that makes you want to read more and more of it. It’s not boring, even though recently there is more than thousand books about vampires, but the idea of this one is different, and so it is interesting for the readers.
The main characters are very impressive – a vampire and half-vampire, who are killing bad vampires.

So if you want to read something different, try this. And oh, be ready for the sex scenes. 😀
